Ingredient transparency seems to be the new trend or consumer demand nowadays. Everyone wants to know exactly what they are putting into their bodies and on their skin. I as well subscribe to that very same thought process. In addition to being a business owner, I’m also a consumer; and as a consumer, I want to be assured that the products I’m using are beneficial as well as safe. The latter ideology is what ultimately led to the creation of my natural, Love Soaponified company, "love for the skin you're in." I want all who would use my products to be certain that they are getting natural, organic, eco-friendly as well as recognizable ingredients. That was my mission from the beginning and that mission is still the same today.
Over time, however, as my knowledge has evolved, I have been in the process of incorporating new ingredients that I now realize, though naturally derived or eco-friendly, are not easily recognizable and whose names can seem quite scary. Therefore, in the spirit of transparency, I would like to take a moment to go over some of those ingredients, what they are, and why I chose to use them in my products. I have chosen to do this as a weekly blog series, giving individual attention to each one.
My goal is to inform and educate while putting your mind at ease. The first ingredient I intend to blog about is "surfactants. "So please stay tuned for more to come.
